Join us for a Ranch Tour at the Webb Ranch, where you’ll get an inside look at the land, its history, and its future. This tour will highlight the legacy of the ranch while exploring historical management practices.
Participants will learn about future grassbank opportunities, the role of prairie potholes in the landscape, and reseeding efforts that support long-term rangeland health. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to meet and hear from local conservation partners and their program opportunities for producers.
Afterward, we will tour the Webb Waterfowl Production Area. Webb Waterfowl Production Area was acquired in 1978. The 476-acre area contains wetlands, dense nesting cover for wildlife, and native prairie. Aaron Griffith, Bowdoin Refuge Manager, will join us to discuss grazing relationships with grazing cooperators, how livestock and wildlife can coexist on working lands, and grazing management strategies.
This event is free of charge, though if you feel inspired to contribute, a suggested donation of $30 is appreciated to help cover expenses. Pre-registration is not required but strongly encouraged so we can make sure to have enough lunch.
